As an enormous foodie and a Michael Pollan obsessor, I will be laying out some ground rules for the road trip. It is easy and tempting to say that we'll just stop along the road for some food, since that will likely yield a lot more Happy Meals and Double Downs than we would like. As a result, here are some food rules
1. 3 meals a day
2. No fast food, with a few exceptions
a. We will have to share 1 double down before we get to Seattle
b. If there is an intriguing local fast foodery, we will stop there
c. starvation
3. If fast food is consumed that day, exercise must ensue
4. NO CORN FED BEEF
5. Eat sustainably, wherever possible
6. Carry healthy snacks--fruits, veggies, sandwiches, etc
7. EAT LOCAL: this means not only trying to eat raw ingredients grown in the area, but also eat foods customary to that location!
